NEW ACTIVITY STARTS ON NOVEMBER 6TH

COUNCIL 347 IS ABOUT TO EMBARK ON A NEW ADVENTURE AND WILL BE STARTING ON NOVEMBER 6TH A CORN HOLE TEAM. THANKS TO THE EFFORTS OF BROTHERS TERRY PLANTE, ED MCGILLVERAY AND BROTHER RUSS KENN'S OLDER BROTHER JIM KENN'S WIFE MARY WE HAVE NEW BOARDS PAINTED WITH OUR LOGO AND EIGHTEEN NEW BEAN BAGS WITH OUR LOGO AND COUNCIL NUMBER STITCHED ON THEM. THERE IS A SIGN UP SHEET IN THE LOUNGE OR JUST STOP BY THE LOUNGE ON THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 6TH AT 7:00 PM TO JOIN IN THE FUN. ANY ADDITIONAL INFO CAN BE OBTAINED BY CONTACTING YOUR GRAND KNIGHT JIM CALLAHAN.

SENIOR CITIZENS DINNER -NOVEMBER 22

IT IS THAT TIME OF YEAR AGAIN WHERE WE START TO PLAN FOR OUR SENIOR DINNER WHICH THIS YEAR WILL BE ON NOVEMBER 22, SATURDAY AT 1:00 PM. AS USUAL WE ARE GOING TO NEED EVERYONE'S HELP TO HELP FEED THE ANTICIPATED 350-400 SENIORS. IF YOU HAVE HELPED BEFORE YOU KNOW IT CAN BE A LITTLE HECTIC BUT VERY REWARDING. IF YOU HAVE NOT BEEN A VOLUNTEER BEFORE YOU ARE IN FOR A FUN FILLED REWARDING DAY. THERE WILL BE SIGN UP SHEET IN THE LOUNGE SHORTLY AND PLEASE ALSO LIST YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS. THANKING YOU IN ADVANCE BECAUSE WITHOUT YOU THIS VERY THANKFUL, REWARDING DAY WON'T HAPPEN.

HALLOWEEN PARTY OCTOBER 24

Time is getting short to buy your tickets for the Halloween Party this Friday at the council. Tickets are just $10.00 per person with dancing to live entertainment, munchies and costume contests. Don't be shutout buy your tickets now or call the council and have them reserved for you.

HAVE YOU NOTICED OUR GROTO LATELY ??

Due to the efforts of our Warden Steve Zulon and Jim Davidson our Groto behind the council has never looked better with a super display of flowers and plantings. Steve and Jim have spent numerous hours planting and arranging the flower beds and also placing an eternal light in front of our Blessed Mother. Steve also takes time out every other day on his way home from work to stop by the council and water and check on the flowers and plants.

SUMMER BLOOD DRIVE JULY 5TH

One way to wrap up your holiday weekend will be to stop by the council on Saturday morning and donate a pint of blood on behalf of the Kights of Columbus to the American Red Cross. Summertime always means that there is ashortage of blood so if you have given before or if this is your first time THANK YOU !! Any additional information may be obtained at the council or by calling Past Grand Knight Ed McGillveray at 781 447 5624.

MUSIC FESTIVAL AUGUST 2ND

Tickets are now on sale at the bar for our First Music Festival presented by our Grand Knight Jim Calahan and his new team of officers. Tickets are only $10.00 per person and there will be multiple bands to entertain you. Refreshments will be available to purchase and there will be a 50/50 drawing as well. Doors open at 5:00 PM so come early and enjoy the entertainment.

SECOND ANNUAL BEACH PARTY

If you missed it you missed a good time with great friends and lots of fun. It was also the end of the first 25 week club for this year. A new drawing will start on July 11th and if you want to join the fun stop up to the council and join. The next 25 week final drawing will be Friday, December 19th which will be our lounge Christmas Party. Many thanks to the Daughters and Karen McKenna especially for decorating and making sure the night was a success. Also, thanks to Karen the girls did wear Bikini's ( Well sort of) You had to be there to enjoy it.

MEMORIAL DAY TRIBUTE TO OUR VETERANS AT THE COUNCIL

Members and several Daughters of Isabella arrived at the council on Monday, Memorial Day at 6:30 AM to pay tribute to our fallen brothers and veterans with the members of the VFW and American Legion joining us with their Color Guard. Also for the first time in many years we stood proud with our own color guard made up of Jim Calahan, Ed McGillveray, Rob Daley and Paul Stevens. We then proceeded to Saint James cemetery at 10:00 AM to present the colors and represent the council at the service conducted by the parishoners of Holy Ghost Church.

CINCO DE MAYO FEISTA IS COMING THIS FRIDAY

Take out your somberos and get your maracas ready for some real Mexican fun and food as we get ready to celebrate Council 347 version of "Cinco De Mayo" this Friday starting at 7:00 PM. There will be a full menu of Mexican fare from Tacos to Refried Beans, Salsa, Chips and Burritos, Mexican Trivia, El Spin Doctor (bring your pesos) and plenty of music as well as our regular Friday night drawing. Plenty of fun and games so come on down and sign up for the Mexican Shuffleboard Standoff (bring a partner) or the El Dartboard Eliminator game.
